About The Artist
Marjorie Taylor is a fabric artist whose past work has included images from neuroscience rendered in hooked rugs, beadwork and quilting and dresses made of recycled materials (playing cards, bubble wrap) that have been exhibited at the World of Wearable Art in New Zealand and worn at the Nobel Prize Ceremony In Sweden. Her most recent work is “vegan taxidermy”: animal replicas that are a mix of realism and fantasy. These one-of-a-kind pieces are made from recycled needlepoint, faux fur, chenille, beads, ribbons and plastic. There are no animal parts of any kind in the construction.
